Launched in September 2016, Oceanco’s Black Pearl superyacht was, according to Boat International, recently seen slicing through the waves on sea trials near the builder’s Netherlands yards.

Ebony sails grace the vessel’s three rotating masts which tower over triple decks and raised pilothouse. The proprietary DynaRig system resembles a junk rig. Twin Caterpillar diesels and an innovative bow should offer a top speed of about 17 knots under power. The 106-meter giant with a beam of 15 meters and measuring 2,700 gross tons offers ample room for 12 guests in six cabins.

Dykstra Naval Architects designed the steel hull and aluminum superstructure, while Italian firm Nuvolari Lenard created both exterior and interior designs.
