Polish luxury yacht manufacturer Galeon presented an array of beautifully designed boats with one-of-a-kind innovations at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2017. During the event, Jessy Grovel, skipper at Galeon, gave NauticExpo e-magazine a tour of 510 Skydeck, which earned the 2016 World Yacht Trophy award for innovative design.
It combines the advantages of the classic flybridge and the sporty look of the hardtop, unique to the Galeon SKYDECK line. This model exemplifies the innovations that set Galeon aside from the pack: its skydeck and beach mode. When in beach mode, the flush deck expands into a large promenade, providing more outboard space. The 510 Skydeck is fitted with a power sunroof over the helm station and the top deck. The stern sun deck comes with a transformable seating arrangement and an adjacent electric ladder becomes a ramp down to the swim platform, facilitating gear transfers.
Grovel showed how the transformable seating functions, rotating it a full 360 degrees to offer a variation of views, and said:
This is signature to Galeon.
