Lampuga has recently launched its latest in the electric surfboard market with its own inflatable jet drive surfboard designed to fold down and ride fast. The modular design lets the surfer “swap the jet drive between four different hull styles, from the standard 6.5ft (2m) surfboard to a short, lie-atop body board,” according to the company.
The Lampuga Air has approximately 40 minutes of power before the lithium battery needs recharging, which takes approximately 1 to 2 hours, and the board can reach 29mph. Just like a regular surfboard, it is steered using body weight, with the addition of a handheld controller to control speed.
