At Sea Work Asia, Cobham was exhibiting its Explorer 710. This portable BGAN terminal intends to deliver unprecedented streaming rates: Not only does it provide an average 650 kbps speed but, when connecting two Explorer 710s with an Ethernet cable, it can achieve streaming rates over 1 Mbps.
An Explorer Connect app for iOS and Android is also provided. It enables users both to call from a SIP softphone and to manage directly their terminal. The Explorer 710 is also a small-size device, measuring just 332 by 279 by 54 mm.
