Poland’s Sunreef Yachts is developing two versions of its 40 Open multihull, a standard configuration and one with retractable foils. The craft combines luxury, speed and stability. The most powerful of the inboard and outboard propulsion options offers speeds up to 60 knots.
The hydrofoil model rises above the water at 25 knots, reducing drag and fuel consumption. The gunwales fold out to increase cockpit space, and there is ample stowage beneath the aft sun lounges.
The helm station has touch screen controls and twin seats protected by a windshield and sun shade. The foredeck features benches and mobile tables. Alternatively, this space could be a cabin for overnighting. Sunreef’s multiple customization possibilities include additional berths, saloon and head in the hulls. High-end audio and video systems can be added to suit customer desires.
