The Enviroguard SLR is Wärtsilä’s newest water-lubricated seal. Designed to tolerate aggressive waters, the seal is an environmentally friendly product that uses water for lubrication, rather than other products that could pollute the marine environment.
The Wärtsilä Enviroguard SLR is available in nine sizes, for shafts between 75 and 306 mm, and can therefore be installed in multiple types of boats, including small workboats, fishing boats or superyachts. It is made of marine-grade composites, making it a lightweight product.
In terms of reliability, Wärtsilä promises up to five years without maintenance.
