SpeedCast brings cloud-based management capacities to VSAT and MSS access. Its new SIGMA Net product is a feature-rich communication service that includes a stateful firewall and VPN access for cyberprotection, and also provides smart crew services such as pre-paid PIN-based BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Internet and voice calling.
SIGMA Net can also be fully configured remotely, from onshore. Through the SIGMA Net Portal, an administrator can change vessels’ configuration, which are then replicated to one or multiple SIGMA Net devices. These configuration changes are also synchronized and stored on the portal.
